Andy Thompson

After starting his career off playing for West Brom, Thompson signed for Wolves in the summer of 1986 and went on to spend eleven years with the club, making 376 league appearances and score 43 goals. He is regarded as one of the clubs finest ever defenders and finished his career off playing for Tranmere Rovers, Cardiff City and Shrewsbury Town.

Andy Mutch

Mutch was one half of a potent strike partnership that also consisted of Steve Bull. He singed for Wolves in the summer of 1986 and soon linked up well with Bull. During the 1987 – 1988 season, Mutch and Bull combined to scored 53 league goals and his prolific form helped Wanderers gain promotion from the fourth tier of English football in to the second. He went on to spend seven years playing for the club before signing for Swindon Town in 1993. In total, he made 325 appearances for Wolves and scored 136 goals.
